Mischievous, Manipulative, And Utter Nonsense! PSM Responds To Khalid Samad And Ong Kian Ming

MISCHIEVOUS, MANIPULATIVE, AND UTTER NONSENSE!
PSM RESPONDS TO KHALID SAMAD AND ONG KIAN MING

I refer to the article ´PSM out of Pakatan Harapan due to past issues” in yesterday’s Malaysiakini as an desperate move by some DAP and Amanah MPs trying to look good after making a blunder of rushing through in announcing a half-baked coalition which has yet to discuss nor had the endorsement of the many civil society groups who were there in the round table expecting to built on a new hope.

First let me address the utter lies of DAP's Ong Kian Ming and Amanah's Khalid Samad who before this I thought as people with high morals and integrity.

The facts are

On 1st August 2013, Sabrimi Sidek representing the PR secretariat wrote the first official letter to PSM asking if PSM agree to the PR Manifesto and the common position. This was our reply in a letter dated 8 August. On my telephone conversation with Sabrimi before sending the letter, I asked if the Common Policy Framework is the Buku Jingga and he said it was. This was because we have seen the Buku Jingga but not the Common Policy. Below I reproduce the content of our reply where we clearly stated in our own memorandum that we support PR manifesto and the Buku Jingga .

(Saya dengan hormatnya merujuk kepada surat Tuan bertarikh 1 Ogos 2013 dan juga perbualan telepon dengan saudara pada 7 Ogos 2013. Kami mengucapkan terimakasih kerana akhirnya ada juga perbincangan secara bersurat isu ini yang sudah lama tertangguh.

Semasa PRU 13, PSM ada mencetak dan mengeluarkan satu manifesto dimana tajuk Manifesto PSM adalah UDAHLAH TU ! TOLAK 56 TAHUN UMNO-BN. Saya sertakan manifesto ini disini dimana dalam mukasurat 20 & 21 digariskan Hubungan PSM & PR. Dalam Manifesto PSM, kita telah mengatakan PSM menerima dan menyokong Manifesto PR dan buku jingga.

Saya juga ingin menegaskan bahawa intepretasi kami mengenai Agenda Bersama PR adalah Buku Jingga dan manifesto yang dimaksudkan adalah Manifesto PR Harapan Rakyat yang kami terima pada hari pelancaran Manifesto. Jika ada sebarang perbedaan dalam dua dokumen ini, sila memaklumkan kepada kami.)

On the second lie, we challenge and demand an explanation on the below statement because it is not true, false and malicious, It was stated,

“The core point that PSM did not agree with was Article 153 of their Common Policy Framework, regarding the special rights of the bumiputera....”

Where and when this discussion was held, who attended and where is the evidence? There were only 3 meetings held between PSM on PR. The first meeting was attended by Tian and Azmin, second attended by Nurul Izzah, Fuziah, Muhammad Sabu and Tony Phua while the third was attended by Anwar Ibrahim, Tian Chua and Xavier Jeyakumar. In none of these meetings and all the letters exchanged by PSM with PR, was this 153 ever discussed.

PSM is neither angry nor desperate that we are not invited for the round-table as we believe that is the prerogative of the organiser but we cannot tolerate blatant lies and manipulations.

We wish the new Pakatan Harapan Baru all the best and demand an explanation.
